Gene’s travel authorization has finally been approved. I think we’re really going!!!
OMGOMGOMGOMG.
Now onto important matters:
Okay, so I suck about taking pictures. In all of the world, there is exactly one picture from our honeymoon to Disney World and it was taken with a disposable camera. That I can no longer find. Actually, I take that back. The last day we were in Orlando we went ahead and bought the staged photo from Islands of Adventure. So yeah, that’s the picture.
We all know that it took me 3+ years to order my wedding photos. That I actually have no idea of the location. (The photos, that is. The wedding was right down the road here in Cheesecake and most of you were there).
I own a camera. It’s this one. I like it, and I definitely don’t want something even fancier, but I have probably taken two dozen photos with it in the two-ish years since we bought it. (My old camera was on the fritz and God forbid we should be w/o a camera for all the pictures of Plan B…well, anyway…). I’m just not a big photographer. But, if something should happen to the S3, I would really be sad.
Am I stupid for looking at a simpler camera to take to Malaysia? (I am 40% certain this is a silly topic to discuss as, HELLO, S3 that is practically gathering dust and I’m pretty sure Gene will see it that way too). Maybe once we really set an itinerary that will help, but I have these grandiose visions of us going to, say, a cool beach or nature walk (ha ha ha…nature…) and the S3 getting stolen or me dropping it in the ocean.
(I am actually considering leaving White Dog home for the same reasons).
(No, I’m not kidding).
But really, if this isn’t the time to bring the kick ass camera, when is the right time? My NEXT overseas trip? It feels dumb to buy a new anything when I have something perfectly good just waiting for me to use it. (On something besides superduper close pictures of the dogs).
(And why, oh WHY, do I keep trying to type “www.bestbut.com” instead of “www.bestbuy.com”??)
(Perhaps I should rename this blog “Rearranging the Deck Chairs on the S.S. Dumbass”)
