The Cheesecake is Rich

So, I have been secret shopping a lot lately (No, not the secret shopping where I buy baby clothes). I had a “revealed” shop at a restaurant I will call Pubway (for the sake of anonimity) near my office. I went the day before to a different Pubway location because I hadn’t been to a Pubway in ages and wanted to get a feel for it. (I don’t do many “revealed” shops and they make me VERY nervous, further proof I am a moron). So, I had Pubway for dinner on Wednesday.

Went to Pubway for lunch Thursday (the absolute last day I could complete the assignment). The sandwich was yummy and I was sitting in the car getting ready to go back in and say “HEY you passed your secret shop! Congrats! Sign this piece of paper!”. I have to fill out this long survey so I decided to work my way through it before walking back in when I realized that I’d forgotten to get my receipt when I paid. Damn, damn, daaaamn.

I could have gone in anyway and gone through the motions, but without a receipt the shop didn’t count. Oops. Lather, rinse, repeat at dinner time – except that this time I finally remembered the receipt. Yea! I submit all the paperwork and all is grand.

Until I get home and decide, “Hey, that wasn’t so bad! I could do that again!” and sign up for three more of the same shop, at different Pubway locations in a small town near me. The deadline on these newer shops was today, so I thought, hey, at least it’ll help them get the rest of these shops complete. Aren’t I a giver? (eyeroll).

Well, guess who’s eating a lot of Pubway between now and Wednesday (the deadline moved again)? And the dumb thing is that I did it to myself. Silly LaineyD. The dumb things I will do for less than $10 plus reimbursement for a never ending supply of 6 inch sandwiches and 32 oz Diet Cokes.

In other news, I get to do a shop at the mall next weekend and at a gas station toward the end of the month. The gas station one is not a “reveal” shop but last time I did this one I forgot the receipt again! On the bright side my PayPal account will be plush when the payments for all of this mularkey hits in August.
