Good news on the Scooby front: we opened the new bag of Nature’s Recipe Sensitive Skin formula (with BISON) for lunch today and he loved it, ate most of it (per the Scooby Journal, he ate 3\/4 cup, and that’s pretty good). Yippee! The Nature’s Recipe is not part of the 40 lbs of dog food that I have coming (23 for Scooby, 17 for Bets) but is separate, since PetFoodDirect hasn’t shipped the food yet and the babies gotta eat.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the Scooby Journal, it’s one of those The Dog notebooks with a beagle on it. Let’s all say awww together. Awwww. With the new food, this is Day One. His back paws look pretty pink, but that could have a lot to do with this clay based mud he walked in (and then through the freshly mopped kitchen). Let’s all say Awww together. Awwwww.<\/p>\n
So today: got up, got Gene up for his hair appointment at 9. He calls me at 9:30 when I just got out of the shower after tramping around the yard picking up refuse and tells me to get ready. I rush to dress and dry my hair and I’m nearly ready to rock when he gets home about quarter till. Then he sits down and shops (one of our errands today was to have been clothes shopping for the husband)….10:00 rolls by….10:30….11:00…11:30…we ended up not leaving the house until almost noon. I had the dogs all ready for some kennel time (freshly loaded kongs, freshly emptied bladders, etc) at 9:30, so I had to get them started all over again.<\/p>\n
We went to Best Buy then to a fabulous, yummy, defugginglicious sushi bar for lunch. If I knew anyone else who’d eat sushi, I’d drag them in. Ohhh, c’est ci bon. It eees sooo gooood. Then Gene realizes it’s nearly Christmas and the stores probably have eggnog on hand, so we stop by the store for groceries (two kinds of nog, OJ, milk, cheese, eggs, etc).<\/p>\n
At home, I have been accomplishing chores: laundry (sheets first…they are so gross because of dog hair), mopping, vacuuming. After Scoob muddied up the kitchen floor, I decided I was out of the game for awhile. If I get my ass in gear, I may hop out and go to the Dollar Store — lately the Dollar Store has been my mecca. Not sure why since I’m a total princess, but it’s a great store for decorating things. My company always has us decorate our work areas and since I’ll be in the accounting department where they go all out for ARBOR DAY, I need to be prepared.
