Holy Hell, how did it become the second Wednesday of my two week vacation in Kuala Lumpur?? How is it possibly that it is already noon? And that tomorrow’s my last full day here? Our flight to Langkawi leaves Friday at 8:30 AM so I’m not counting Friday as a KL day.<\/p>\n
There’s so much to do! I never got a fish pedicure! Or hopped on (or off) the KL Hop On\/Hop Off bus. I went to Petronas again simply to buy more Gatorade and Pepsi Light. I spent all my time relaxing this week. I had lunc by the pool both Monday and Tuesday. Last night Gene and I went to a restaurant in KL where I had an obscenely decadent dinner of Dover Sole (seafood stuffed Dover Sole – although actually the seafood wasn’t inside the fish, a misnomer). I have spent a lot of my time either at the pool or in the room writing (blogging, etc).<\/p>\n
It has been marvelous but now I am scared I will regret not doing more touristy things. I am not an adventure tourist (Gene’s coworkers, who are here in KL with us, ARE adventurous and went to the Bantu Caves this past weekend and went to a restaurant where you pick the fish you want to eat from the aquarium; when I heard this I just kept repeating “Oh my GOD!” in horror), so I think I will not be upset. Plus, the fish pedicure place doesn’t replace polish, just lets the fish eat the skin cells off your feet. And believe me – my polish needs replacing!<\/p>\n
Anyway, I feel like I have accomplished most of what I set out to get done on vacation. I wanted some delicious alone time, I wanted to get some writing done, and I wanted to relax. Mission accomplished!<\/p>\n
But does it have to be the midpoint of week two already? I could live with days like these ad infinitum. In the end, though, it’s just self indulgent to have had two weeks of this and then want more. Whiny crybaby.<\/p>\n
