What is going on with this country that people are having their pay cut? This is America, where things only get more expensive. Are we in a depression? I think it was Donald Trump who I heard being interviewed on GMA the other day who suggested that we were in for a multiple year recession\/depression deal. Great. I mean, I knew we were on a collision course with big trouble (see: history repeating itself and\/or Great Britain as a world power 100 years ago) but geez. Did it have to happen now (ie, my last even slightly fertile years?).<\/p>\n
(Which reminds me – I wonder if the recession\/depression thing lasts awhile people will start talking about zero population growth and people will stop having 14 babies…looking at you, California Freakshow).<\/p>\n
I think I just feel scared. What if Gene’s employer decides to cut his pay another 95%? Everyone keeps saying the same thing – that he’s lucky to have a job – and I know it’s true but fucking-A, he busts his ass all day long, he works on emails on the weekends, he agreed to this fuckery where he’s in NJ until who the hell knows when and for what?
