They are now hanging from hooks (!!!) on my front porch. I have pictures that I’ll post soon. While I was out watering the various plants, I remembered that I wanted to look up the proper care and feeding of fuschia plants. I hopped online and found the Naturehills.com website and found what I should be doing. Daily watering! Ack.

But I also saw a sub-category titled “Shrubs and Hedges.” All political jokes aside, I’ve been looking at our crappy shrubs (builder provided – azaleas?). They look horrible.

Do you see where this is headed?

Now I’m delusional enough to think I can figure out how to get rid of my crappy old shrubs and plant cool new shrubs. Maybe if the lawn guy gets rid of crappy old shrubs and I buy the cool new ones, he’d plant them, too? So what do I pick? I found Rose of Sharon, but it looks too high for in front of the house….but maybe on the side? But then what in front? I’d like something with color for the warmer months because the flowers we previously planted don’t look so hot (poor marigolds….poor, doomed marigolds). Maybe this? I want them all to be the same and hopefully not have that awful haphazard look like they do now. I guess that has more to do with care, though?

Or this? (I gotta admit, I like the name…)

Ugh, I’m going to bed before I accidentally buy $200 worth of god knows what.

So I bought 3 fuschia plants at Home Depot yesterday.
