The Land’s End order came. I liked all the shirts and hated the pants and shorts. Yes, even the MELON capris. (Yes, I know. I blame the downfall of American culture of capri pants and I still bought a pair in a goofy color). The return box will probably go out tomorrow.

Gene’s at his mom’s. He took the boy to see Epsiode III today and this weekend is our usual custody weekend, so he’s just staying there in the meantime. I miss him. The dogs miss him, but they don’t yet know they’re going to Doggie Daycare tomorrow. I bet that will improve their spirits.

While Gene’s gone, my plans are simple. The chore du jour is the master bathroom but frankly, I’ve got the house to myself so forget that. I haven’t done a lot, but I picked up a pizza and ate it with the dogs in bed. The dogs didn’t get any, although I think Booper would have gladly eaten a slice.

The fuschia plants are fine. I watered the heck out of them yesterday so I don’t think they needed it again today. Remember this when I’m bitching about 3 dead fuschia plants, OK?

Beyond all of this, I’m really not in a blogging mood. Work is weird. Turns out our generous offer of part time hours was unacceptable to Princess Temp, so in the meantime, she’s going to stay on as a temp, full time. I’m not really sure how this benefits my employer at all – frankly now we’re stuck with a 40 hour a week albatross. Today’s fucked up trick was to use heart shaped post it notes to label the filing cabinets. Oh, Geez. Part of me still thinks they’re just waiting for me to pack up and go home so none of this matters. I’m tired of the inane banter, asinine ass-kissing and cheery front required to work with the BFAs. What’s weird is that there really aren’t any B’s in the accounting dept but the nickname (privately held) sticks.
