No surprise with the American Idol hysteria over at her part of the room&#8230; And that&#8217;s another thing. Apparently everyone where I work is psycho-nutty obsessed with that crappy karaoke TV show. So if we&#8217;re all so damned critical, why does today&#8217;s music suck so much??? HMMM???<\/p>\n<p>Ugh!<\/p>\n<p>The good news: boss leaves for, OMG, more than a week, starting tomorrow at noon. Partying begins at 12:30. OMG, the epic lunch hours, the personal phone calls, the websurfing. I&#8217;d sneak a book onto the premises (ooh, badass Elaine) but the Old Boss and the CFO won&#8217;t be gone the same time (since they&#8217;re the people who had the issue with me reading &#8220;Hello My Name is Mommy&#8221; on the company dime &#8211; as if that&#8217;s the worst thing the company dime has paid for??). I wouldn&#8217;t read it outside of lunch hour, or perhaps at all&#8230;but it would be so much fun. Maybe they&#8217;ve installed an alarm on the doors like at the library.
