\n2) How do I get a dog to stop waking me up at an obscenely early hour? Yesterday, it was before the alarm went off. Today, Booper kindly waited until twenty after six IN THE MORNING before she whined to be let out. No, she doesn’t have to do anything outside, other than possibly harass some early morning bugs and make her mother become a tinny bit crazier.
\n3) Grandma’s home from the hospital, I’m glad to announce. I think she came home either Wednesday or Thursday. I spoke with her today and she sounds SO MUCH better! Hooray!
\n4) The nerds are still coming over. Aww, Chrrrist.
\n5) Watered the garden today. The main flowerbed is doing pretty po’ly – I really need to get in there and remove it all. Maybe next year putting down topsoil would help? The south’s soil is mostly clay so maybe it doesn’t grow stuff well? On the bright side, the (thinking) geraniums (?) that Mom planted for Gene are doing well. I attribute it to them not getting too much sun. I don’t know what to think about the fuschia. The pink and purple one seems to be waning but the pink and whites are still doing OK. I’m trying to feed them frequently because I read that I was supposed to. Good enough for me!<\/p>\n
What I did Today:
\nWoke up at aforementioned obscenely early hour.
\nSploofused. Am #121 with over 600,000 points. Yeah, I know.
\nGene said I should go back to bed but then I looked at the clock and thought “Hey, the dogs are being groomed today!”
\nTook dogs to groomers
\nTook books and movies back to library and Blockbuster
\nTook self to Ford dealership for oil change
\nCame home, helped Gene put crappy old office chair into my car.
\nWith Gene, took chair to dump. eeeew.
\nWent to crappy farmer’s market. Bought organic dog treats.
\nWent to mediocre lunch at small local restaurant.
\nPicked up the beagles at groomer’s.
\nDecided to get a move-on for ruining their beautifully clean selves, so took dogs to dog park.
\n(YES! Did I tell you? We finally have our Pooch Passes. It only took calling the whole process a cluster to make it happen…). Dogs had a great time — Scooby got laid by a male Brittany Spaniel and came home with a scratch — Mommy is just too nervous. We’ll go again.
\nCame home, lazed about. Watched a show I’d PVR’d on Bravo and it was very funny.
\nGot to work – cleaned the guest bathroom (eeeeeeeew), swept the kitchen (OK, vacuumed the kitchen).
