So I’ve been feeding the hounds exclusively at dinner time. No breakfast, no lunch. Although she’s a chunky one, it’s really not a diet for Betty – it’s all because that gives Scooby more of an appetite when it’s time to eat. Therefore, I didn’t send any kibble with them to doggie daycare.<\/p>\n
Oh! Gollygee. You’d think I’d been beating them. “They were sooo mad at lunch time!” One girl told me. Another said that Betty gave her the saddest look when she was eating her cheeseburger. Told her that you could give Betty a porterhouse for lunch and she’d still want your cheeseburger. She’s all dog, that one.<\/p>\n
So, being a guilty dog mother, I bring them home and give them each a beef rib (uncooked, meat on the bone, fat cut off for Scooby, who is apparently on canine Atkins). Then I give them each a can of wet food. EACH.<\/p>\n
Then I pack kibble to send with them to daycare tomorrow.<\/p>\n
Speaking of dog eating habits, Betty has discovered that she likes banana. Only in little pieces. Scooby won’t touch it – I guess ‘nanners aren’t kosher on Atkins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
