So last night was Geek night at the house. Being a dutiful wife I chop up Velveeta to make that salsa con queso stuff, I put out the other salty, sweet snacky treats, I make sure there’s plenty of cold soda. I even bought a 2 liter of Mountain Dew. And then I spend the evening in my bedroom, watching TV. I go to sleep about midnight, maybe a little before.<\/p>\n
FOUR HOURS LATER I wake up when I hear the sounds of geek laughter. YES. AT FOUR IN THE MORNING. They played D&D from 8:45 PM (yes, that’s 15 minutes early and is still SO MEAN) until after FOUR. I stick my head out the door when I realize I’m missing two beagles. They’re on the couch, looking bored (good doggies!) so I bring them in. Fully awake and pissed off, I watch some TV, waiting for the geeks to leave already. Gene’s in bed about 5, mumbling something about making it up to me.<\/p>\n
