Today was a GREAT day. I debated calling in crazy to work but decided I really shouldn’t, so I worked until around 11 and took the afternoon off. I got home, took a shower and Gene and I went to the mall to do some Xmas shopping. Hoooooooray! We are DONE with it.<\/p>\n
Oh, crap. Now I have to wrap it all. Gene usually takes all the stuff that I won’t wrap (which is usually just the stuff that’s for me) to Barnes and Noble and gets the volunteer gift wrappers to wrap it for him, but nothing’s for me so it seems I’m going to spend some time this week wrapping. Another bummer is that someone (glares at Gene) has taken over my dining room table with a computer, a laptop and a monitor, so my preferred flat surface for wrapping is gone.<\/p>\n
But anyway. Gene and I went to the mall, the bank, Best Buy, the license plate branch (to return the plate for the dear departed M35 – the state should refund part of the tax, which is a nice bonus), a few other stores and then dinner. Mmm.<\/p>\n
Anyway, it was a wonderful day. I missed getting to chat w\/ D (but I did call her from Best Buy to make sure my boss wasn’t burning a picture of me in effigy), but there’s always next week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
