Gene just left to go to the airport to pick up MIL (her earlier flight was cancelled, so I think the poor thing has probably spent the day at the airport), and I celebrated by locking the dogs in their kennels so I could blog a moment. Hey, I gave them each a Pupperoni!<\/p>\n
As an aside, I think part of the reason our dogs are part of the family is that they have such human characteristics. Greed, excitement, jealousy (especially jealousy).<\/p>\n
I should be cooking dinner now but I am not. I will in a few minutes. Right now, the banana bread (yes, BANANA bread…) is in the oven and I’m not sure if I want to bake the pork tenderloin (yes, again, yes it’s the only thing I can half competently cook) while the bread is still in there. I mean, what if the pork comes out all banana-y or worse yet, the bread comes out porky?<\/p>\n
MIL is in town through the 21st.\u00a0The boy\u00a0arrives tomorrow, assuming the weather holds. Tomorrow, I work. Hopefully we’ll have another weather delay because those ROCK. Dinner tomorrow is risotto. Mmmm, risotto. Saturday, I’m not sure what the plans are since I’m not sure if\u00a0the boy\u00a0will make it (if it’s bad here it’s awful there). I’d like to do something yummy such as fish but I just don’t know. Sunday, maybe something in the crock pot.<\/p>\n
