I have to be honest with you all, party people. My birthday is coming up in 11 days and I don’t really know what I’d like. Gene keeps asking but I don’t have anything to tell him. I’d like a surprise from him but I can’t think what. I lose, break or don’t wear jewelry. Flowers die. Hmm, maybe I’d like for him to have some flowers delivered to my office. He used to do that a lot. Maybe another box of Russell Stover Assorted Creams.<\/p>\n
The things I’d like aren’t really that easy – I’d like to replace our mattress and box springs w\/ a king sized set (2 larger than average adults plus two beagles is a hard fit on a queen sized bed), but if we get a new mattress then we have to get a new headboard\/footboard. And that’s not in the cards for a ton of reasons (the company that made my furniture has apparently discontinued my set, plus, it’s a tight fit in our bedroom furniture wise. We could do it, though, if we got our closet re-done, got rid of the bedroom suite altogether, hung the TV from the ceiling…wow, my head is spinning!).<\/p>\n
The deal is, I’m seriously a lucky woman. I bitch (A LOT) but I also know I have good fortune. There aren’t too many things I can point to and say “I want a new one.” I’d like one of those flat surfaces for drying sweaters, but then again, it’s March so we’re almost to the nice weather again (high of mid 70s this weekend, I think) so I won’t wear sweaters much longer. I’d like some more reading material but I don’t seem to have the time to really read lately.<\/p>\n
