The Cheesecake City Diabetes Center is in the same office as the Women&#8217;s Center, so the waiting room had several beautiful pregnant women inside&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Including the lady I met with. She looked like Twiggy with a football shoved under her shirt, but it turns out that she is due in a week.<\/p>\n<p>Short answer: No full-blown diabetes, but I have &#8220;pre-diabetes&#8221;. Is that really a surprise, though?<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we went over some things about diet, what I eat, drink, take as supplements (and there are a lot of them and she approved of them, which is nice). Then she whipped out the monitor thingy. Ugh. She showed me how it is used and I took my first reading.<\/p>\n<p>I have to take two readings a day &#8211; one right before a meal and the other\u00a0two hours\u00a0after that same meal. I have a sheet that I am to write my data on and I will bring it all with me next Tuesday to a class.
