Yep!<\/p>\n
This year’s raise was a tiny bit bigger than last year’s, but I’m still the lowest paid person in the office. Ugh.<\/p>\n
My new boss (same new boss) said all sorts of nice things, but I can’t help feel that it’s mostly B.S. Apparently her toady’s review actually had negative things in it (gracias, Boss’s Boss!). D and I wish we could have been a fly on the wall for that! I still think that their review was something like this:<\/p>\n
New Boss: ::points at Toady:: “You’re the man!”<\/p>\n
Toady: ::points at New Boss:: “No, YOU’RE the man!”<\/p>\n
New Boss: “Here, take Elaine’s raise, too.”<\/p>\n
:: New Boss and Toady high-five ::<\/p>\n
New Boss: “Elaine is such a dumbass. Remember when she did (insert bitchy description of something slightly embarassing I did sometime between 3 years ago and yesterday)?”<\/p>\n
(You know there is something wrong when RETAIL sounds good).<\/p>\n
I’m grateful for my bump up. That was very nice. Frankly, my employer would have tried a wage freeze if it hadn’t meant mutiny by some of my fellow pink collars. And the review was only good things but it really wasn’t useful. My goals are BS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
