I did half the shopping today (the stuff for tonight&#8217;s dinner and non-perishable Thanksgiving food). Two trips was Gene&#8217;s idea, but it was a great one.<\/p>\n<p>My cart was freaking full. I seriously would have needed Gene to come with me and push his own cart if I had to shop for all of it in one trip. And I haven&#8217;t even planned anything to cook for Monday-Wednesday (not sure when in-laws arrive). Here&#8217;s hoping the chili lasts at least through this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Hmm. And I haven&#8217;t planned anything for Black Friday through&#8221;Get the Hell out of my house!&#8221; Sunday, either. I think we&#8217;re going out for dinner on Black Friday if Gene&#8217;s favorite restaurant is open, so that helps. And of course there are always (ALWAYS) leftovers. For me, though, after about the second day of turkey I&#8217;m pretty well done for another year.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday I want to have brunch (or breakfast. Something where I can conceiveably serve eggs) and Gene has talked me into making a frittata. Apparently a fritatta is a quiche minus the crust (carbs!).
