How did it happen AGAIN?? It’s Sunday morning and that makes tomorrow MONDAY morning. I just can’t do it. I just absolutely cannot get up tomorrow and go into work again.<\/p>\n
We have to leave in a half hour to take\u00a0the boy\u00a0back home. Usually we meet my mother in law between here and where she lives (also where\u00a0the boy\u00a0lives) and have lunch, but today\u00a0the boy\u00a0has a big school project to re-do that is due tomorrow (that he didn’t tell us about!) so we have to have him home early. I was really looking forward to the lunch today, too. Oh, well. So now we have to race there and get back to have only left the puppies alone for ONLY 4 hours. I really, really, really hate leaving them alone for more than 3 hours, so I’ve got them outside right now to empty their little bladders and things. That’s one thing about a baby: you can take them anywhere and you can’t kennel them.<\/p>\n
Huh. WTF was I trying to say? I guess I mean that it’s socially acceptable to travel everywhere with a human kid (hell, isn’t it socially unacceptable NOT to?) but people look at you funny if you arrive everywhere with a total of 50 lbs of barking puppies. Plus, we can’t bring them in restaurants, anyway.<\/p>\n
Another downside to this thing is that I’m going to get home by 2 at the earliest, which is pretty late to start my laundry. I could stay home alone but I think Gene will like my company and I do have the November Vanity Fair to read (remember? the one with noted musician Johnny-Fucking-Depp on the cover).<\/p>\n
Speaking of the VF Music Issue cover, I checked my 2001-2003 issues to see what made the cover in past years. Each year they assembled a group of musicians — one year it included Gwen Stefani and J-Lo (debatable, I know) but another year it included Jewel and Willie Nelson. Effing VF. I hope someone tears them a new one.<\/p>\n
