Our car wouldn’t start this evening when I was trying to leave the office. AAA to the rescue (every smart girl is a member, especially when you’re a smart girl with only one car, a husband who travels, and no family within 500 miles)! Five minutes of work with jumper cables later, I’m headed home. A couple hours later I called my Mommy<\/strike> to firm up plans for her trip to the Beautiful South. I walked to the car to grab my purse (that’s where every dumb girl keeps it!) and hmm….the iPod gizmo is still running….I wonder if that could be what caused the battery to crap out.<\/p>\n
(Well, no, actually… it’s probably the alternator, the iPod thing is a red herring, IMHO)<\/p>\n
(And if you suggest that I left the lights on in the car, I will cut you…seriously!)<\/p>\n
Tomorrow’s another day! I was supposed to get to work at 8 tomorrow (I’m leaving @ 4 tomorrow to go to a meeting w\/ Gene – the first of 3 medical-related things this week alone, plus one more and another thing next week) but I don’t think that’s going to happen! I am so glad I have a bank of vacation (even with all this craziness I think I’ll still have 3 days banked).<\/p>\n
And!! My Mommy<\/strike>‘s coming here from July 4-July 7. I am SO excited!! This whole “two visits a year” thing is hard! I hate that I’m not going to get to see the rest of my family but we’ll see how the holidays go.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
