Hmm. Well, at least I voted. Go me. Congratulations also to my best friend Brandy, who made her maiden voyage as a voter on Tuesday. I congratulate John Kerry for having the manners to just fucking concede already, without all the crap from 4 years ago, that only damaged the country.<\/p>\n

Me, I like to remember Don Henley singing Cohen’s song “Democracy” back in ’92. A different world, folks. (For one, I was 15 and Henley was single…yummmmmmmmm). Maybe it’s just my mood, but I’m going to go stand in a corner and chant “God he was hot” a few times. Speaking of DH, the Eagles are supposed to tour the south next Spring. I think I’d have to cancel manicures for the next 20 months to afford the really good seats, but I think it would be worth it. Someone please remind me that I’m not 19 anymore.<\/p>\n

Learning about payroll. My new supervisor is on vacation Tues-Friday of next week. Everyone says I will stay busy but I hope I won’t, because I would love to say “I’m taking this afternoon off!” and go shopping instead. With an afternoon I bet I could make some shopping trip for…errr…exploratory purposes (that’s what Hilary called it when she was debating running for public office, yes?).
