boneheads were backing up system when I was trying to PRINT PAYCHECKS, so all I got was 12 checks and pages of gobledegook. They didn’t tell anyone they were backing up the system, although it was slooooow all day Thursday. Morons. So, I had to print paychecks today and send them to the restaurants via…

Betty the shoe maker
Sooo, we came home tonight and I walked into the backyard to hang with the dogs. The yard guy had come over to mow and he usually stacks up all the dog toys on the porch so he won’t run them over w/ the lawnmower. Hmmm, one of those toys looks familiar, I thought to…
Ooh!
I just figured out I can do this. I can’t wait to play with that feature. I’ve been looking forward to it!! Not a lot new here. I’ve been working very hard as it’s a payroll week. No matter how much I get done there’s more left to replace it. I haven’t taken a proper…
Holy Shit!
Watching the Oscars. (Spoiler Alert)… March of the Penguins won documentary (I think) and the winners brought huge stuffed penguins with them to the stage!!! That was so badass, even better than the Wallace & Gromit guys putting mini bow ties on their statues. Ack, and now they’re following it up w/ J. Lo??…
And not to be outdone…
Here’s Scoob, apparently dressed as a member of MS-13. Or Coolio. (Ugh. I was totally going to include a link to a picture of Coolio but apparently all pictures of Mr. Lio with a rag on his head have been destroyed, much as proof of the film career of Eva Perron were destroyed when she became famous).
Betty as Winston Churchill
We bought some dog treats that have approximately the same shape as a taquito or a cigar. Whenever Betty chews on hers, Gene says she looks like Winston Churchhill. Come to think of it, I think she’d accept the taquito instead.
MIL News
It’s not good, folks 🙁 She was back in the hospital a week ago to have her galbladder operated on. She’s home now (I think she’s been home all week), but my BIL told me tonight that she’s a lot weaker and in a lot more pain than she was before. Gene hypothesized that she…
Another hit!
Tonight’s dinner was Beef Enchiladas, using the “Meal in a box” by Old El Paso. Yumm. Gene loved it, too. And the dogs were mucho appreciative when the spatula (when dinner was still in the raw beef stage) fell on the ground. (Yes, I cleaned the spatula before resuming cooking).
New possible category?
Gene suggests an alternative to the category “Sweet Things My Husband Has Done”. His choice? “Married to the Slob.” Ha ha.
Well, THIS is new!
Welcome to my new home. I posted awhile back about switching from Blogger to something else. I briefly tried TypePad but abandoned it, and I am so glad. Moving my Blogger posts to WordPress was insanely easy. I think I must have done something wrong. Surely I’m going to check my email and find an…
