So, I’ve seen a chiropractor or a physical therapist for many of the years I have lived in Cheesecake City. And you know what? I always still had pain. Yeah, that neck cracking part is so lovely that I’ve contemplated lighting a cigarette aftewards, but the relief only lasted a day or two. Gene got…
Category: Sweet Things My Husband Has Done
Oh what a night!
So, you’re asking, what did you and Gene do for Thanksgiving? Well, we had Thanksgiving at a restaurant. We could only get in at lunch so we were finished with the eating portion of the day by 2. After that, much, much, MUCH sitting around. Many many many hours of DVR’d TV shows (Kid Nation,…
My sweet man!
So Gene has been really awesome lately, even for him. Friday I was sick and he made me breakfast (eggs and toast) after I went to the gym simply to tell my trainer, “Ehh, see you Monday!” (I’m feeling better, BTW. Something magical about all that leftover Halloween candy at work!) And he emailed me…
Gene is fine!
So Gene had his laser eye surgery today and he’s doing well. He’s sleeping right now. Maybe I should give him a sleeping pill at 4 pm more often (ha ha). On the way out of the parking lot at the eye center, he said, “HEY I can read the side of that truck!” He is…
Happy Labor Day!
I love, love, LOVE any excuse to not have to go to work. I love days off work! Right now I’m taking prednisone (for my dead-sexy eczema) and metformin (originally for the prediabetes, but now more for the hopeful fertility upside, but hey, if it helps me lose weight too, who is going to complain?)….
So I Married A Dumbass…
So! Finally something half interesting to talk about on the blog. Gene, the boy and I were watching My Super Ex-Girlfriend last night. I am still very very tired so I fell asleep in my living room chair (mmm, could do that now). The movie was kinda bleh anyway. After the movie I woke up…
Even though he doesn’t read the blog…
Happy Fifth Anniversary, babe! If an engaged person were to ever ask me for wedding advice, I would tell them: 1) Only buy ONE wedding dress. And buy it as close to your wedding day as possible. I suggest no more than 6 months ahead of time. (I had 3 dresses, 1 wedding. Oh well)….
Gene, too, is fine
All went well yesterday. We got to the hospital around 5:45 AM and got home about 4 PM. There is nothing as startlingly inefficient as a hospital. (At least at this hospital, waiting family members were not expected to answer the phone in the waiting room….WTF??….I could talk for hours about how insane and wrong…
Update, April 2007
I wonder if I can make a post that references all of my categories… 1) Baby dreaming – Still not pregnant (or trying, of course) 2) Certifiable, undeniable – In therapy, getting quite a bit out of it. Sometimes I take my Wellbutrin, sometimes I don’t. I attribute being able to go to bed at…
April Fooled
Har. Not as elaborate as last year, but it still got me…for a minute! (No details, trust me).
