Guess what I did?
I had a phone conversation with someone who is not in my extremely small circle of friends. Yes really! I know it sounds dumb to be proud of this, but still, I am proud. I’d written a thank you note to our friends in MD (we had such a good time, so nice to meet the baby, you’re doing an awesome job, etc) and she called to thank us. Anyway, we chatted about all manner of things – she’s so easy to talk to.
For someone shy like me, this is huge. (And yeah, maybe you’re thinking “You, SHY?” but I camoflauge it by talking a lot or just saying off the wall dumb stuff).
Anyway – yippee!
I hear ya! 😉 I HATE the phone and avoid it like the plague. Thank god for email… it has saved me!! (this is why I BEGGED for a modem when I was 15… I saw all the possibilities the internet (er… AOL at the time) held for someone as introverted as me! 😉
