Hey!
Let’s all say it loud, say it PROUD….it’s Friday…Friday…:::Biginhale:::FRIIIIIIIIIIIDAAAAAAAYYYY.
Anyway. As noted below, I used my glorious 4 hours of vacation yesterday to go shopping. I went to (and here’s where the big sin comes in…) Babies R Us. I didn’t buy anything, but I wanted to. Not a stroller (they don’t have the Inglesina Zippy stroller that I’m hot on, anyway) or a carseat (no Britax in the really awesome fabric), but something small. I even considered picking up a set of electric plug covers, thinking that even if they were discovered I could pass them off fairly easily. Just something small… at lunch today I walked around the baby section at Target and thought the same thing. I am probably going crazy – who starts a baby hope chest?
Here’s a kickass quiz question: Is this pattern too masculine if I were to, by some scientific magic, to ever have a girl? I really like the idea of a boat themed nursery, since we live near a lake and I like boats (well, technically I like cruise ships, but I can’t find crib sheets for that…).
Bachelorette Week is fini. Gene’s home 🙂 and I am VERY GLAD to see him. So were Betty and Scooby. (BTW, their new nickname is Chewy — they ATE the bag with their toys in it because the idiots at the vet’s office left it NEAR the kennel…who does that???). Anyway. After I got home from shopping (also went to Dillards for pants and Toys R Us to buy a gift card — yes, I checked out the baby stuff there) I picked up the dogs, bought dinner, took everyone home, ate dinner and got my (toe)nails done. My nails are, as always covered in OPI’s I’m Not Really A Waitress (it’s the third from the left on the second row). It was an excellent Patty-cure (that’s what they call them since my tech’s name is Patty…awww) and was wonderful.
When I got home I re-watched Celebrity Neighborhoods (PVR’d on the Travel Channel, my favorite TV Channel) and two other shows about celebrities and/or LA, the rest of Goodbye Mr Chips (what a horrible movie!) and the Apprentice (only because the challenge was in a bridal salon). I passed out in bed for good about 12.
I haven’t finished watching: Part II of Angels in America (probably tomorrow while Gene’s at Poker), the rest of film classic The Women (starring Joan Crawford and Paulette Goddard), House of Mirth (starring Scully!) and Indiscreet (Ingrid Bergman, I think).
Fun times!
And the Bridget Jones movie opens today. I will go see it tomorrow.
