Laineyd.com seems to be up and running!
A big thank you to the awesome techies who helped make this dream a reality – first, my hosting company, Dreamhost.com. Second, Install4Free.net, a group of bighearted computer geeks who – get this – install WordPress for free for clueless fools like me just because they love the product. “Free” means they don’t ask for money, but I’d gladly buy them a steak dinner or give them my first born stepchild. Things were THAT screwed up.
Now, the theme, on the other hand… it’s not what I hope to end up with, but considering that it is 1:30 in the morning on a work night, it was the prettiest of the templates I could find. (Okay, it’s a little bit of a case of WordPress beer goggles). And!!! I moved the files from WP’s theme gallery to my FTP all by myself and didn’t break anything.
