Friday, Friday, FRIIIIIIIDAYYYY…
Anyway.
So here’s a recap of the time since I left Indianapolis. Was greeted at the airport here in a….green Ford Taurus. Oh, well! Limousine living was fun (but still mortifying)…Back to work Monday, went to the doctor on Tuesday because I have all these icky bumps on my elbows, knees, etc. Doctor theorizes eczema and (amazingly) prescribes Prednisone and some cream stuff. D at work reminds me of when SHE was on Pred and how it gave her all this energy to clean.
To clean? Well! I energetically made a 14 item To-Do list, including major things (file!) and minor things (find some company shirts to give to the training department). So far, 6 of the items are completed. Hooray! And trust me…this stuff does give you energy, even though it’s “taken time to break through inertia” as Gene says. Ha ha ha. Last night at 9 pm I was still going strong and made Gene take me to Target to buy two very large Rubbermaid containers to put the Xmas tree in. (It just refuses to fit in the box). That was yesterday’s big project – undecorating. The beautiful decorations from inside and outside the house have been taken down. Even the awesome thingie I made for the mantel is down. All the decorations are upstairs (tidying that stuff up is on the list, believe me). The tree is on top of our dining room table, all neatly (?) boxed. The rush (?) was because Angela was coming to clean today and I was…not…going…to…let…her…keep…from…
vaccuuming…dump…of…a…living…room. Hell no. After all last night’s insanity I still made it into bed by 10:30. Go me.
Getting to bed early was a priority because I slept something like 4 hours Wednesday night and I was fucking exhausted. Wednesday was wonderful — Gene and I went to dinner and to see Meet the Fockers. ***1/2. Still love Mr. DeNiro when he acts like he knows he’s an old man now.
