awww… The Puppy Bowl is on Animal Planet. It’s definitely the weirdest counterprogramming to the (real) Super Bowl. I theorize that it started out as Animal Planet planning to have dogs play football, but when they realized the puppies were…well, puppies…they went with the second approach, which is basically 3 hours of puppies playing, drinking water, having accidents, fighting, etc. One of the puppies looks like Scoob (but is a girl) and all the puppies have Booper’s cute face.
I should be doing something of slightly more value, but I’m not. So there. Gene’s going out of town Wednesday-Friday AM of this week and a few days next week, too. He is supposed to be home for Valentine’s Day, which is good, but I wouldn’t be upset if he was gone for the actual day. It’s not that big a deal for me – I think our dating anniversary is a week after Valentine’s Day anyway and that’s very cool. So the puppies are being day boarded Thursday and then day/night boarded until Saturday afternoon, when we get home from the concert in TN. Then they’ll be dayboarded for at least a few of the days that Gene is in VA for work. We’re thinking of having them ID chipped, so I may cheap out and have them boarded at the vet’s for one of those days (I think they don’t charge for boarding if they’re having a procedure).
Which reminds me — perhaps this is the perfect time to make the transition from old vet to possible new vet? Why am I obsessed with everyone changing doctors? And speaking of vets, I need to get the dogs’ shot records so we can take them to the bark park (dog park) near our house. We are quite the yuppy family — designer dog food, bark parks, day boarding….
