You heard it here first…(well, actually Facebook heard it first)… dog #3 is coming to live with us on February 12th or 13th. Her name is Sadie, she is a hound mix (definitely some beagle, probably some shepherd) and she is two years old.
Gene and I met her and her foster parents last weekend. The dog is such a sweetie, but she is definitely shy. I can’t wait to see how it goes when Scooby and Betty meet her!
The reason why she is not with us yet is that she is heartworm positive and has been given a large dose of medication to kill off the heartworms. After that medication is given, she has to be kept still for 30 days. The 30 days ends right around the 13th, so that is when she’s joining us. Yay!
(I do wonder how they know that 30 days = okay to play but 29 = NOT okay. I mean, what changed in that 24 hour period?).
(Yeah, I’m going to be a nervous wreck with this one!)
