Well, that’s another Monday down the drain! Work was very busy since our computers were down part of Thursday and all of Friday last week. I work in HR for a restaurant management company. The job has very little to do with my waste of a degree but I like it. I have a lot to do at the office and it’s pretty overwhelming about 9 months a year. Right now, we just finished the 2004 “Employee Thank You Day” and we seem to be slamming into the Christmas Party. The thing I like least about my job are the amazing array of stupid office politics. I’ve given up being nice about it. Our new AP clerk apologized to me for having to go to our CFO about something and I said “Ehh, don’t be afraid of him.” (Note to self: Do not give out Blog address to CFO). I will have to mention that to my pal at work – she’s out today and would really appreciate hearing about it.
Now I’m sitting here, listening to Gene sing a version of Margaritaville about Yoda from Star Wars. He’s watching The Benefactor (WTF???) and apparently one of the contestants has a Yoda tattoo. Of course, Gene says “Can I have one?”
Yeah, right. No no no.
Speaking of things Judge Elaine doesn’t approve of, someone I know told me he’s been kicked out of multiple casinos for counting cards. Meanwhile, he’s the most prayerful person I know (in real life). I have trouble reconciling the two since I totally do not approve of most gambling (hated Vegas, visited a casino over the 4th of July and just was ill).
And in some final good news: The cleaning drought is over! The cleaning lady will come over next Wednesday.
