Again, this is for the benefit of any drive by readers and because I like to see myself type….
As noted below, “the cheesecake is rich” was some sort of code developed by my best friend Brandy and I. The cheesecake we were speaking of was the heavenly Ghiradelli Cheesecake on the dessert menu at Olive Garden. They no longer sell it, but trust me – it was very rich and yummy. Brandy and I always ordered it when we’d go to OG and once her family bought an entire Ghiradelli cheesecake from OG. Mmmmm. I was invited over for something (birthday? New Years? VMAs?) and there on the table was this entire cheesecake. I come from a house where dessert usually was a scoop from those 50 gallon vats of crappy ice cream, so the concept that one could buy an entire cheesecake was a foreign one.
On the bright side, Gene and my step son went to the grocery store (don’t panic, they mostly went for soda) and came back with chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing.
