So, after writing yesterday’s post, I read it and realized that I forgot to explain the whole Mac n’ Cheese thing. (Being me, I had already hit publish). For some reason, Word Press wouldn’t let me edit the post without doing so in html. I don’t edit in html. (What do I look like, a super genius??) I was going to try and edit it today after work, but since Erin commented, I thought I’d go w/ it now.
Anyway, so the Mac n’ cheese complaint: I made the recipe on the back of a box of Kraft Premium Mac n’ cheese. I think it was the white cheddar version. Basically, the recipe was 1) cook chicken in skillet 2) Add broccoli to skillet 3) add Mac n’ cheese to skillet. By the end of the recipe the stuff was totally inedible, dry and nasty. We were able to salvage the chicken and added a separate container of microwavable broccoli but agreed that we just weren’t going there again. I didn’t think more of it until I started emailing companies through their websites and I remembered the problem.
So, that was the problem with Mac n’ Cheese. Actually, if it had been cheesiER, I bet we would have been OK!
It sounds as though there needed to be additional milk or butter added somewhere in that process and they didn’t mention it.
I agree. Because even with the Mac n Cheese Tuna Casserole I make, you add more milk.
