I had a longish post typed out this morning before work but Blogger must have eaten it because it’s not there!
Oh, well. Yesterday was my company’s softball outing. Those of us from the support center were the umpires, which meant I mostly stayed out in the field and tried really hard to not do as bad a job as I did in June, when the outing was football. I think everyone had a good time with softball — at least, no one was injured (we had an ambulance just off the field when the general managers played football). It’s always so nice to meet the company’s managers, especially the group that we saw yesterday. I’ve dealt with a lot of them through training (I handle the HR portion of training). Today was the big meeting where everyone got to present (accounting, HR, IT, etc) but I never get to go to those and my HR director handles it. I don’t mind not getting to present (I do not like public speaking and my boss is great at it — very theatrical, very funny) but I wish they’d at least let me come and watch.
