Since I can’t open comments on Erin’s blog (update: Never mind! Just wasn’t patient enough), I’ll post on MY blog.
Did I tell you all that Gene has a blog? I don’t know what it’s called and I don’t want to because it is HIS blog. I am wounded with curiosity (is that a less terminal version of dying of curiosity?) to see what he posts. He told me it’s mostly political rants. I’ve already checked www.mywifeisdeadsexy.wordpress.com and www.howdoishutelaineup.wordpress.com to no avail. I do know it’s through WordPress because I helped him set it up (from across the living room).
I’m still trying to be good about this whole “Hey, does Elaine have diabetes?” thing. Today at lunch I had a diet pepsi only because we were at a company restaurant and I know my only other option was H2O and…aw, fuck it. It’s a holiday. Friday, the boys went to the movies (they saw that movie starring the guy from the Transporter) and I went to B&N to accumulate more literature about how the hell I can fix this right effing now (no, an entire Internet full of information is NOT enough…for instance, I cannot read it at work). I walked out with a book called Syndrome X – it’s interesting in that it tells me the foods that are better for me (nonstarchy veggies, olive oil – basically, foods that are as non processed as possible) but I have to admit the title is a little hokey. It’s like when the news teaser commercial says “This could kill your child right now!” and it turns out to be falling meteors or natural causes or something. Bleh. I’ve also got a more traditional book but I haven’t started that one yet.
I am also trying to exercise more. Today was supposedly a cooler day here in Cheesecake City but if it was, it must have been cooler while we were taking the boy home. By the time I took Scooby for a walk at about 4:45 it was roasting hot. Plus, I was wearing jeans (stuuuupid) and sandals and now have a blister. It had better clear up quickly because tomorrow is another day and tomorrow I get to walk Betty, which is like trying to walk a crackhead.
