I have had the GREATEST day. First, I got to get to work at 9 am (8:30 is sooo early) and leave at 1. It was my last half day Friday. Half day Fridays, I shall miss you. Having to make up the time for the 1/2 day Fridays, :PPP
After work, I drove home with the windows down, listening to Tom Petty’s “American Girl”, The Clash’s “This is Radio Clash” and The Eagles “Life’s Been Good” (live). It was my last gasp of summer – it was a gorgeous day in Cheesecake City following two days of rain.
Gene and I went to lunch (Qdoba again – gee, I love that place!) and ran some errands. Eventually, I worked up the nerve to go to the baby store – at GENE’S request. I certainly had no interest. No sirree.
And I got there and looked at the door to the store where there was a sign.
“NOW HIRING”
Seriously. Just like in my day dream.
I applied, but Gene says it is too far away (a good 30 minute commute) and not in the greatest part of Cheesecake City. I’m OK with it because in theory I might not have to arrive until later than that. But, oh well. And I never got to tell them all about the wonders of the P3. C’est la vie.
La Vie.
Looked around, had a nice chat with a saleswoman who showed me several nice things. I fully intend to buy my furniture and bigger stuff there because I loved the selection. So many choices! I saw my #1 choice for linens which I ended up HATING. Phew. I mean, I know I have time and I’m not buying anything (more) yet, but I’m glad I saw them in person. They were so dingy and the bumper was really fat. Bleh.
