Something occured to me today (it may have been while at Team America: World Police): Everyone gets all pissy about Hollywood actors (Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon etc) for having political beliefs and talking about them on TV, etc. What about musicians writing about politics? Were people huge crybabies back when protest music was huge? Do we have one set of standards for musicians and another set for actors?
Anyway. Just read that Paris Hilton will have a line of nightclubs named after her. Ooh! I know, let’s go drinking at O’Skanky’s. Sheri of the Bob & Sheri show had something very funny and very freaking right to say about Paris. I wish I could remember it verbatim (and the website for the radio show isn’t telling me anything!) but it was basically that these girls are ruining it for the rest of us.
