(No, really! That’s Entertainment)
We saw Blades of Glory this afternoon. When it was funny, it was freaking hysterical. It was not a movie for kids, though (but then again, neither was Borat).
I made a little progress on my Tivo-ish thingie list (it’s called a PVR or a DVR, but no one seems to know what that is).
1)Caught up on Daily Show and Colbert (whoo! And BTW – the Stephen Colbert Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream was delicious. It had an odd flavor in there somewhere, but it didn’t slow me down).
2)Watched all of the 1937 version of A Star is Born (I think I’ve seen it before)
3) and most of 24 Hour Party People. A Star is Born was way better. 24 Hour Party People is about the music scene in Manchester, UK in the late 70s/1980s. I’ve been trying to gain some knowledge about the background of music around that time so I can better understand my beloved Sirius 22: First Wave. I may just buy or borrow a book about the whole New Wave scene and be done w/ it.
And now I’m trying to get a few words written offline before bed. Is tomorrow really Monday (again??)? Friday nights, the weekend seems about 3 years long so of course there’s time to get all these things done but by Sunday realization sinks in. Gene is going to be out of town the week after next so maybe I can get caught up more again while he’s out.
