When I had my subscription to American Baby magazine (hey, it was fascinating AND free!), I apparently told them I was due with a baby in April 2007.
Well, it’s April 2007. No baby. (April 2008? July 2098? Somewhere in between?)
But I have received some of the weirdest stuff in the mail over the last few weeks. A diaper from Huggies. A box of SOMETHING from one of the formula companies (I have no idea what – it was heavy, so I’m guessing formula). And now I have all these formula checks. One from each company (Enfamil, Similac and Nestle Good Start). And they are worth serious bucks (I think) – one is for $8 off a can of something. All in all, it’s nearly $30 plus I have some sort of box of welcome stuff from (I think) Similac.
What the heck do I do with this stuff? While in theory I will some day have a baby, A) I intend to breastfeed and B) by then all of these goodies will have expired anyway. I had planned to offload it at work on an employee who just had her first baby but apparently she’s breastfeeding.
And for a girl who gets seriously geeked when it’s Triple Coupons at the grocery store, I just cannot bring myself to pitch it all out. I don’t know of any charities in Cheesecake City who take these things.
Ugh, I had an easier time getting rid of a 27 pound turkey.
I know someone who is having a baby next month. you want to give the coupons up? =)
you can sell those formula checks on Ebay for almost face value!!! The formula too!
