The state I live in allows for early voting, so after work today Gene and I went to the library (he visits exactly every 4 years) to vote. Glad that’s over with! I did not repeat the mistake I made last time and voted for Kerry.

Also: Why hasn’t every carved their pumpkins? Gene, the boy and I carved ours Saturday evening, but when we drove through the neighborhood I saw tons of uncarved pumpkins all around. Am I early? Is it not less than a week before Halloween? Am I some sort of heathen (well, yeah) who doesn’t get it? Meanwhile, I hope they don’t turn moldy and gross. (remember when we carved our pumpkins too early as a kid and they got soft and moldy, Mom?)
