Sorry I didn’t update yesterday! Lazy/busy.
Good news! I got an email about a position as a “Leave Administrator” for a company here in town. It’s a temp to hire position where the pay maxes out at 30k (which is what I make now, before the pay cut). I emailed back as soon as I got the email that I’m interested, so hopefully we can set up a meeting or at least I can hear more about this position and wow the hell out of the temp agency so they will give me some other luscious position.
It could happen! I would like to first thank my best friend Brandy, whose email that said it would all work out…apparently worked. Awesome!
In other news, my company has a temp coming on Monday who can do all the job tasks that I can (or am supposed to be able to do with the payroll position). Since no one has told me when I’m going to be expected to do anything with payroll, I’m really pretty concerned. If it’s just me being paranoid, my plan is to kick some major effing ass when I do start doing payroll to wow the hell out of them …. and make them that much sadder if I resign. (My fear is that they’re waiting for me to resign so they can get out of paying unemployment or a severance).
So, cross your fingers for me!
