that I love my car? Obviously, since we only own one car right now, we took the Murano on our trip. The car did so well over the long drive. I drove a total of maybe 3 hours and Gene did the rest. So, I guess that’s all I have to say. I just love…
Elaine, taking the Christ out of Christmas again…
So, at work the other day, my New Boss was telling an “adorable” story our training director told her. (She tends to re-tell stories because, I believe, NOTHING happens in her empty shell of a life). The training director gave her daughter the whole big speech about the Meaning of Christmas and then later quizzed…
In case you’re wondering,
yes, I have heard of the baby penguin who was stolen from a zoo in England. How awful. I heard that Toga the penguin’s parents are distraught. I hope that the people who did this are prosecuted if they’re caught. And then I hope they’re extradited to where I live so I can fuck them…
Back Home Again Again, In Indiana…
I’m here! Woohoo! We left Cheesecake City ’round 5:30 yesterday and got to IN about 3 AM this morning. The good people of the Courtyard at IND airport let us into our room early and we slept like logs. Mmm, slept like logs! More later, maybe
The Worst Mommy…
Gene just left to go to the airport to pick up MIL (her earlier flight was cancelled, so I think the poor thing has probably spent the day at the airport), and I celebrated by locking the dogs in their kennels so I could blog a moment. Hey, I gave them each a Pupperoni! As…
who said it got to be Wednesday today??
MIL arrives in 14 hours. The boy’s room and bathroom are not tidied. I worked until EIGHT tonight at the office because there’s a chance of inclement weather that MIGHT keep us from the office. Or at least keep ME. I just finished dinner and now I am going to go clean some more. Hooray!…
oh, crap
MIL comes for a visit Thursday, 12/15. That’s what I’m going to come home to, after a long day of cutting paychecks: My MIL. She leaves 12/21. I am so glad I just cleaned the bathrooms, but now I have to do something about the boy’s area. He’ll be here this weekend, but it’s too…
BTW
My dogs don’t have any clothes, holiday or otherwise. The only exception are the cravats from the groomers. I bought a sweater for Scooby once (he’s very THIN and COLD!) but it wasn’t sized right. I think there’s technically a day-glo dog coat around here somewhere, for when I walked Scooby and I was afraid…
I can’t believe I didn’t mention this…
When the in-laws were in town for Thanksgiving, the tale that brought the house down was this one: MIL isn’t a fan of animals. Especially when animals get too close to the baby. SIL has a dog, Alice. Alice roams the house during the day and is pretty interested in the baby. One day, SIL…
The pirating from Erin’s blog continues!
Erin’s blog asked the question today, (I am paraphrasing because she’s a real Mommy and doesn’t curse like a sailor) “WTF is up with people treating their dogs like their kids?” (I was PARAPHRASING!) Anyway. Even though I own baby clothes, I am not a mother to humans yet. Maybe sometime in 2008. But in…
